1. Swagbucks pays you to watch movies
Swagbucks is a very popular online rewards site. I’ve been using it for a few years now, and it has helped me easily earn some extra cash on the side, all online.
You can get paid to watch videos and movie trailers on Swagbucks.
Here’s how Swagbucks works:
- You can join Swagbucks through my referral link, and receive a $10 bonus.
- You can then earn points by taking online surveys, searching the web like you normally do, watching movie previews on Swagbucks, and shopping online.
- Then, you can redeem your points for PayPal cash or gift cards (such as to Amazon or Walmart).
Swagbucks is very easy to use.
How much money can you make using Swagbucks?
You can receive a $10 bonus when you use my referral link above, and Swagbucks pays around $0.50 to $3 for each survey you complete.
If you only want to get paid to watch movies on Swagbucks, they say you can earn around $5 a day.
The reason Swagbucks pays people to watch videos is because they want to introduce new brands and shows to consumers, and they also want valuable market research about what people think about different TV shows, networks, and movies.
You won’t make a full-time income watching movies and videos on Swagbucks, but it’s an easy thing to have on in the background.
2. Start a movie review blog
With a movie review blog, you would be reviewing movies and TV shows that you’re interested in or that are related to your blog topic.
With a blog, you could make money in a variety of ways, including placing affiliate links to the Amazon pages for the movies you’re watching. You can use your blog to share your thoughts about movies you’ve watched and host online discussions on your website platform.
If you’re unfamiliar with affiliate marketing, it’s my favorite way to make money blogging.
Here’s how affiliate marketing works:
- Affiliates are people or businesses who are paid to promote a product or service.
- When you become an affiliate, you are given special links to use when you promote something for a company. The links allow companies to track where the sale comes from.
- Then, you place those links on your website, social media accounts, etc. in the hopes that someone will buy something through your link.
- When someone makes a purchase through your unique affiliate link, the company knows where the customer came from and pays you a commission.
An example is the Amazon affiliate program, which is perfect if you want to start a blog about movies. Amazon gives you special links, and you can share a link to a specific movie on your website or blog and encourage people to purchase the movie (or even something like Amazon Prime) through your affiliate link.

7. Mystery shop at a movie theater
As a mystery shopper, you may be able to find a mystery shop that is at a movie theater.
By doing this, you may get paid to watch movies and movie previews at the theater, complete in-theater checks to make sure everything is clean, verify box office information, and more.
Mystery shopping can be an interesting way to make extra money online, while shopping in-store, over the phone, and so on. I used to mystery shop several years ago, and I’ve done it in all of those ways.
I completed mystery shops that paid me actual money, and others paid me in free items too, such as a nice dinner out or a grocery shop.
Companies hire mystery shoppers because they want to get a better idea of what the customer experience is actually like.
They want to understand the full experience, including what the customer thinks of the product, how customer service was handled, how the phone was answered, and so on. They can get real results because you are secretly shopping and the store/workers do not know who you are.

Yes, you can get paid as a voice over actor, and help make movies!
A voice over actor is the person you hear but rarely see in audiobooks, YouTube videos, radio ads, explainer videos, corporate narration, documentaries, TV commercials, video games, movies, and cartoons.
In 2014, my friend Carrie replaced her salaried day job to become a full-time voice over actor. People are constantly asking her how she got her start and how they can too.
So she created a six-week online class, and it sold out. Several of her students booked voice acting jobs before the class was even over!
